Sculpture Festival Events

Select Sculpture Festival – April 27 - May 30 – 10am to 5pm
Venue: The Nursery at Miserden
Admission: free

The Select Sculpture Festival will see work from five leading artists displayed in our nursery borders and period glasshouses. 

The event, part of Select Festival 2017, features stoneware pots by Lucy Birtles, willow forms by Susan Early, a large installation using bamboo and architectural pods by Jo Newman, wire sculptures by Celia Smith and a series of glass sculptures by Cirencester-based LoCo Glass. LoCo Glass will also be producing limited edition rose bowls to mark the event.

Painting with Plants with Jane Moore - May 10 at 4pm
Venue: The Nursery at Miserden

As Head Gardener of Bath Priory, Jane will explain how making clever use of colour can lift your garden from the ordinary and turn it into something rather special. Jane, who is also a guest presenter on BBC Two's Gardeners' World programme, will present plenty of takeaway ideas on which plants - and planting combinations - can be used to give a range of effects, from the bold to the romantic.

My Tiny Indoor Garden with Lia Leendertz - May 17 at 3pm  Venue: Museum in the Park Stroud

Telegraph and Guardian garden writer Lia Leendertz will discuss her latest book My Tiny Indoor Garden and the many ways you can bring plants into your home. From terrariums, to hanging gardens and shelves of tiny succulents, Lia will look at indoor plants for all levels of expertise.

Sculpture Festival Walk – May 12 at 11am
Venue: The Nursery at Miserden

Starting from the nursery, this one-hour circular walk will give you a wonderfully varied taste of Cotswold scenery including far-reaching views of the Golden Valley and the beautiful parkland of the Miserden estate. The walk is free but it is advisable to register with the Festival office on 01453 751056.
